Synopsis

Brad  Pitt  and  Anthony Hopkins star in Martin Brest's dramatic tale of
love and death.

Bill Parish (Hopkins)    is    a    successful    and    extremely    wealthy
businessman  who  is  living  a  luxurious  lifestyle  that he has always
dreamed of, but will this all come to an  end  very  soon?  Only  a  few
short   days   before   his   65th   birthday   Bill   receives a visit from a stranger,  Joe   Black,   who   later   reveals   himself   as   Death   and
announces  that it is in-fact Bill's time to die. Bill convinces Joe to give him some extra time on Earth but in return he  must  be  Joe's  earthly
guide.

Problems  soon  arise  when  Joe  begins  to fall in love Bill's daughter
Susan (Claire Forlani). Will Joe stay with Susan and play with  fate  or
will he take Bill with him and take her loving father away from her?
