Synopsis

---

Beowulf returns to his homeland of Herot in the Shieldlands to pay his respects   to   deceased   king   Hrothgar   (William   Hurt).   But past
jealousies  mean  Beowulf  gets  a  frosty  welcome,  especially  from Hrothgar's   wife,   Rheda   (Joanne   Whalley),   and   son,  Slean (Ed Speelers).
